Liz Claiborne
Project:
Create a canvas to showcase the Liz Claiborne clothing and accessory lines.
Challenges:
Creating a sophisticated yet subdued showroom that draws attention to the clothing and accessories; and, attracts clients from the Merchandise Mart across the street.
Solution:
- Created custom cabinets and display pieces that can be reconfigured to enhance the clothing and accessories. The fixtures where designed to complement the architecture of the building, which was also designed by Facilitec.
- Coordination with the construction company was imperative because of the structural requirements of the space.
- Selected finishes - including custom stains - fabrics, and furniture in soft, neutral colors that do not distract from the clothing.
- Designed flexible lighting that enhances displays.
